Moving Tips
To save time and money the following tips should be considered:
Bureaus and Chests:
Remove all breakables and valuables. Leave the clothes in the drawers—clear the tops.
Bedding:
Remove the blankets, sheets, and pillows. Pack them in large plastic bags or boxes.
Furniture Requiring Disassembly
Breakfronts and Bed Sets:
America's Best will disassemble and reassemble all furniture items we feel are necessary for a safe move.
Mirrors:
America's Best will remove mirrors from the bureaus and reassemble them on the bureaus.
Refrigerator and Freezers:
These items do not need to be defrosted. However, they must be empty; ice makers (if any) should be disconnected.
Washers or Dryers:
To save time these appliances should be disconnected. However, America's Best Moving will do this if you desire.
Packing Boxes:
If you elect to do your own packing, follow these guidelines:
Use plenty of paper between breakable items. Use boxes with lids—tape item closed. Each box should be marked with the room that it is to be placed in.
Weight:
Approximately fifty pounds (50 lbs.) per box.
Furniture Location:
Preplan your rooms for easy setup. America's Best will place and setup each room as you request.
